Summer can be filled with popsicles and BBQs, but Fall is the time to get our eating habits back on track! With school that can be tricky sometimes but salad containers and preparing as much of the salad the night before in baggies can help reduce the pressure to eat empty carbs in sandwhiches or cafeteria food the next day at lunch. Your body needs fuel, so focusing one meal a day to meet those basic needs of veggies and protein can help balance out an otherwise "convenient" diet focused on quick, easy, and ready to grab foods.. This meal follows some of my tips and tricks to happy healthy eating (that actually taste good) while at Home or in School!
School Already?! For all of you headed back to school already, I am deeply sympathetic. But the summer fun does not need to end now that you have studying to do! One of my favorite things to do while in school was to make the most of the area that I lived in and thoroughly enjoy it as much as possible... Most of the time, I believe, you never fully enjoy a place until you leave it. However, playing tourist for a day and putting on a new pair of eyes in the morning to the old town you grew up in can open up some new adventures that can make it feel like summer all over again. Whether it is running down to a local park, taking a hike, finding a new rooftop to stargaze on, or take the train to a neighboring city, you can regain a bit of summer exploration with each weekend that the year brings your way. Remember sometimes just changing the scenery can help bring some refreshing relaxation to your weekend studies.... so just because summer is over, don't forget to have some fun and enjoy the little things around you! -xoxo SP A week of painting, reading, and overall relaxation?... Yes please!!! Sorry for being off the grid for a little while, but Yosemite and all of it's beauty demands a little time away from the computer to witness the beautiful views and dive into my reading list for the year! Hope you enjoy these captures from my week's adventures! -xoxo SP It's summer time! And that means that it is time for a bit of sparkle and color to come back into that wardrobe! What better way than to start with your nails!? My two favorite nail polish brands are OPI and essie, but I think I am a little biased to OPI personally. One of my favorite colors to brighten any look is this beautiful Spark de Triumphe gold from OPI. Unlike other sparkly nail polishes you won't deal with the sparkles coming out with chunks and having areas solely covered in clear polish. Instead, your entire nail will be covered in glittering golden flecks! Since I typically keep a neutral or pink tinted tone during the week, essie's Neo Whimsical has proven my staple go-to look. Have fun experimenting with new colors and looks! As always lovelies, xoxo SP I have fallen horridly behind updating this blog, and things are about to change! So stay strapped for more photo shoots, interviews, inspiration, currently being edited, soon! xo Stay tuned.... I have HUGE features and New Content coming very soon. ... In the meantime .... Pray. For Finals. And may the odds be ever in your favor. #SecondSemesterSenior * You can expect new content the beginning of June. I have interviews lined up, photo shoots, and partnerships that I haven't gotten to edit yet. Be prepared to be flooded with new material! xoxo SP Focus today on the Power of Positivity. Positive messages that you can see on your desktop or phone every day can provide a daily reminder/ encouragement. Mine is very simply: "I can do it." Being thankful and writing down three things that you are thankful for everyday can change pessimism to optimism. Lastly, surrounding yourself with positive people is crucial. I like to find friends who are kind and welcoming others. It lets me know that they care about more than just themselves, and are willing to be supporting of me and all my pursuits. Loyal and kindhearted friends are the best daily reminders to keep a positive outlook. .... literally you can't go for ten minutes with my friends without them stating something that is good about the day! -Sienna If you are following my Facebook, then you will know that this week I was intending to speak at a Tedx event. However, due to poor management by the hosting high school, I have now decided to make the topic of my talk available to all of you in a series of impromptu chats about overcoming mental barriers and perceptions to success. I hope that you enjoy the series, and please comment or question below and become a part of the conversation! https://soundcloud.com/siennapagett/lifewithoutlimitstalk-no-1 This is my first time doing a podcast, and did not do a run through/edit. It is simply me and my mic with a list of 5 bullet points that I want to talk about. It is a bit long because I am improving, but I hope that it does provide some incite on how pursuing your dreams does not require all that we may believe. As always my Lovelies, xoxo SP It's been a rainy week in NorCal, and it was definitely time to break out my favorite wool baseball cap for this rainy weather day. And of course with any stormy day... the desire to stay in bed and in comfy pjs is overwhelming. ...So I compromised and decided on some running pants over my desired sweats. Remember there is no reason why style should be uncomfortable. Fashion bends for you and your life style needs!... Don't get me wrong I love a good heel over a sneaker but there is no reason why you can't be comfy! OOTD: coat: H&M top: vintage hat: f21 shoes: Supergas - xoxo SP
