1. Obviously rent movies and watch Netflix! (*tip: the local library can be a great place to start when searching for new films) My favorites are classic eighties movies, chick flicks, and historically based fiction films. Ex. Beyond Borders, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Queen Victoria, Clueless, etc. However, summer can be a good time to catch up on American and foreign classic films as well; such as My Fair Lady, Dances with Wolves, and the Graduate. 2. Read Books..... as lame as it can sound a truly good book can be really entertaining and relaxing when hitting it poolside... (*tip: pick a book that genuinely sounds interesting this time. Summer is your free time! So stop stressing about picking the book that would help round out your reading for school next year, and rediscover a love for reading! If you lose your love for reading then getting through that summer reading list will become no easier come cramming time.) 3. PUMP up the tunes + get OUTside! Music is the all around best answer to the best summer.... even the most dull day can be spiced up with a fun summer soundtrack! And getting outdoors with some tunes pounding in your ears can not only help out that tan, but help you enjoy what's left of this wonderful weather with Fall right around the corner! Hit up Inspire: Music for some fresh finds for the pool, a bike ride, or a trip around the city this next weekend! - xoxo SP
