Picnic blankets, whicker baskets, and strawberry salads are my idea of the perfect weekend outing... Whether it's renting a kayak by myself, or heading out in a group and ending up in a huge water fight.... typically ending in someone's canoe being flipped over. There is always fun to be experienced in the local attractions that this community has to offer. And let's say bathing suits are a MUST whenever coming here with me! This lake is particularly nice because it is quiet and their are rarely many people there; so I like having the place to myself. The best is when I go to just relax and sit there and maybe do some homework or bring a picnic with a friend for a little outing. With a great natural setting, I enjoy coming when I get stressed about school and get a little refocused. What ways do you like to relax and get out of your normal routine? Just a little bit about one of my favorite places, xoxo SP

My weekends consist of meetings in the City, hitting up my favorite fabric stores, and playing tourist for the day... Taking an impromptu trip to San Francisco only gets better when visiting one of the absolute best fabric store in the city! Britex's four story store on Maiden Lane is filled with everything from Chanel fabric to zippers...
Probably... not like this. But when being interviewed for an ambassador/ intern position at Nordstrom, I find that my typical interview uniform can be played with . . . Today: I brought out my new Kate Spade Saturday culottes that I have been waiting for just the right occasion to break out of my closet . . .
Weekly update: Keeping up a Daily workout regiment is tough... especially when consumed with a full day's work to do. This week, I'm learning the importance of surrounding yourself with people that will inspire and encourage you to be the best you can be!
So... this week I am "attempting" to wash off the bad and breathe in the good. Memories are fragile things that often carry mixed emotions. You can try and stuff the memories away because they are too painful or you can meet them head on. But bad memories are like SourPatch.... they can be a mix of sour and sweet. This week I decided that I am sick of the sour and it's time to have some sweet already! So without further ado I have decided to make a daily list of all the things that I am thankful for.... to remind myseld each day that with each step in life there is always something good that you can take away from it... xoxo SP
As school rages on crazier than ever, I've gotten really overwhelmed lately. I am missing out on spending time with family for some quality time with trigonometric functions and President Hoover.. What ways do you make your day a little brighter.. when bogged down with tons of work?... ... This past week I've started Yoga, daily walks, and breaks about every hour or so to play a game with family or plant some succulents out in the garden. I find its always important to spend some time in the good ol' sunshine and take some time for peace and solitude throughout the day. Keeping a balanced and healthy life is hard. But I have tried to do so by starting with three easy steps: 1. eat food that makes you and your body happy - my choice: fresh strawberry, almond and avocado salads 2. exercise every day (even for a little bit)... outside!! - my choice: yoga (purely for exercise) or running/ walking 3. spend time with family/ loved ones - I always start and end my day with family time, but if you can't take time during your school/ work day to be with family... try to have a sit down dinner with family every night to talk about the day.. your interests... and what your Sweet and Sour moments were As always my Lovelies, xoxo SP OOTD: Outfit of The DayTop: H&M
