If the return of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis wasn't enough, he had to take a spin to his music to take on a multitude of political issues in this song ft. Leon Bridges. It continues to impress and inspire me that artists are stepping out of the typical "drug, sex, party" music to bring about a real message for change. I may not agree with every message that Macklemore portrays in his music, but I am surely passionate about artists making meaningful strides towards awareness for issues including prescription drug addiction (as addressed in the song.) 

This may be a little heavy for your Monday, but the return of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis is definitely a cause for serious celebrating. Thanks to the artist who brought back Thrift Shop style for returning this past week with their brand new album!  #musicmondays
